OK. The Right-wing evangelical Bushites want war whenever they can have it. They lie, deceive, engage in torture, deny all the rights and protections of the American Constitution, they support the abuse of our wounded soldiers. At least a third of the nation approves.
John McCain wants the votes of that third. With any luck (or so he believes), he can con an additional twenty-percent of the voters into making him president.
However, the nation does not want to go bankrupt, it does not want to keep the Iraq wound festering, it does not have leadership and so nothing is likely to change.
Where could we garner leadership? Obama and Clinton are raking in the primary funds; Hilary is already doing well in her quest for campaign money. Is the Whitehouse a commodity to be bought?
What of Edwards? Is that a passing thought? Edwards wife has cancer and his haircuts cost more than half Americas workers take home in a week. Any other news, or views?
Well gee, a guy needs to look good for his eventual concession speech.
The real race is between the hypocrites.
We know the Bushites have solid hypocrite backing; one need only mention a media hungry evangelical Christian to know from whence the support for his replacement will emerge.
On the other side we have Jackson, Sharpton and company. You know them, the fellows of the Imus nappy headed Ho stunt.
Who else on the Democratic side is in the hypocritical camp? Well we have Obama. He jumped into the debate, and then equated shock-jock words to physical violence, and physical violence to outsourcing jobs as a mode of violence.
As far as Imus goes, calling African-American women niggars and wholes is only improper if you are white; if you are a black rap or hip-hop start ... sh-h-h-h, we will not go there.
As a hypocrite, Obama has done even better. He has denounced fund-raising via federal lobbyists; but wait! His top fund-raisers today were federal lobbyists last year.
Gee, his federal lobbyists changed, or suspended, registration so as to raise funds for him without officially being "federal lobbyists." Now there is a con-man to beat the band.
Lest we be called biased, let us not forget Hilary. She opposes Iraq, but has made sure her Senate vote would support, or perpetuate, it.
As for the Imus thing? Hillary thought it was horribly degrading and characterized the Imus shock-jock speech as, "small-minded bigotry and coarse sexism."
Ah you must love Hillary, such a woman of conviction. When hip-hop star Timbaland calls Afro-American women niggar and whore, sh-h-h, Mrs C will not go there. Maybe because Timbaland tossed her a party and added $800,000 to her war chest.
Now, obviously, we know where Imus went wrong; he failed to do a fund raiser for these hypocritical Democrats. He only had to raise a few hundred K for their cause and all would have been fine. Instead he has raise tens of millions for Tomorrows Children's Fund, CJ Foundation for SIDS and the Imus Ranch.
Of course, we all know that you are a course bigot if you help children, and a good citizen if you fund the political campaigns of hypocrites.
Hang in there people. This is the decade of the hypocrites and fools.
Over the next few years we will see the stage set for the demise of the American democratic stereotype. We will see the rise of theocracy, and the launching of wars horrific beyond imagination.
Think of al-Qaeda and Iraq's sectarian power struggle; now remember the old adage: "What does not destroy me, makes me stronger."
Hang in there people. We will see Rome, specifically the Vatican, come under attack. We will hear of deities returned and returning. We will know Buddha and Christ. We will hear of the twelfth Imam and see the blood flow like wine until all nations are drunk upon it.
