One really must feel sorry for the white voter. When we talk about black candidates for public office, such as Barack Obama, we hear the term “not black enough” for black voters.
“Not black enough.” Think about that. There are degrees of skin tone which denote the acceptability of a candidate among black voters.
That smacks of overt racism. Doesn’t it? “Not black enough” How strange it is to have a criteria which so denotes the qualifications of a candidate. And yes, I understand that some use the phrase, “not black enough”, to denote life experiences which have nothing to do with management ability, statesmanship, or general competence.
It just seems that there is something so nice about a racial minority that seeks to make qualities of racial difference as the important element; that they make extreme racial differences the criteria.
Oh if the white community had that option. Whites, poor whites, poor deprived whites, they cannot assert “not white enough”; but must accept every milk-toast candidate which appears and judge them on their lies, and sound bites.
Don’t you feel sorry for white voters? Just imagine if they were to assert “not white enough” as their governing criteria. Why. Gee. We might see them insist upon a White Supremacist candidate. Certainly such a candidate by being the extreme is “white enough.”
What should a black candidate offer? They should be from a poor family, crack addict single mother, unknown father, wear dread locks, and speak in jive rhyming slang about how “the man” is against them. Is that “black enough” to run for office, to be President?
Hillary Clinton is leading Barack Obama buy the largest margin in ... what community? Oh right, in the black community. Seems Hillary might be black enough for black voters, and Barack is white enough for white voters.
Of course, blacks seem to believe Hillary has twice the chance beating a Republican as Barack. After all, Barack is not black enough to warrant the necessary black votes; but Hillary is.
Funny. In a world where everything seems to be race or religion, with the idea of competence being irrelevant, Hillary must be black enough to get the black vote; but among white voters, she doesn’t seem to be white enough to give her more than a nominal chance against a Republican.
Hum. McCain and company, the GOP in general, courts evangelicals and seeks to promote warfare against Islam. That is acceptable, that is what makes McCain-light and Hillary nominally equal. Hillary will bow to the gods of war; get on her knees before them; hey, Mars is a guy and used to gals showing their love on their knees before him
Barack is straight. He’s not about to service the god of war in the manner Hillary would service Bill. Or is it Monica service Bill? Well, we can assume they both serviced Bill in the same manner. Clearly Hillary will know just what to do to make Mars happy.
Let us see if we can cut the garbage. The black community, per the polls, and talking mouth media, will imagine what whitey wants, assume whitey will rig the election and therefore will vote the way the believe whitey will make it happen. Can you say “Uncle Tom”?
Reality, white or black, red or yellow; be they Catholic, Protestant, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist or Pagan; America has a simple choice: vote to kill people and go deep into debt in the process, or focus on caring for ourselves and the best interest of humanity.
The Right-wing Evangelicals want the war and destruction of America. They want a return to dictatorships and kings; at which time they will have absolute power to repress, murder and torture in a manner again to that of extreme Islamists practicing Shia Law.
If the GOP wins, the Right-wing Evangelicals win and America fads into history. Excluding gross acts of stupidity on their candidates part, whoever the Democrats run in 2008 will win. One passing question appears to be, are blacks too stupid to take advantage of this reality and yield their unquestioned support to a black President? Or would they prefer slavery which accompanies second guessing whitey?
