ON THIS DAY - On Aug. 19, 1934, a plebiscite in Germany approved the vesting of sole executive power in Adolf Hitler as Fuhrer.
There is much to be said about Da Fuhrer. He was your average, run-of-the-mill European Christian of the time; today he, like George W. Bush, would be an American Christian.
We know Hitler was a racist, a promoter of those who spoke the Indo-European language; or, at least, what the ancient tongue it had evolved into. He identified with blond hair and blue eyes; yet had neither himself. He was also, basically, self-taught and an idiot.

Antisemitism is interesting, Jesus was and worshiped a father who is a Semitic-Aryan deity; were he to return (their belief), Jesus would be the first victim of anti-Semites. Catholics work for the other guy; isn’t it obvious? As Jesus said, you will know them by their works.
Hitler’s early personal papers show his interest in religion and Biblical views; and his belief that the Bible represented the history of mankind; The same basic concept held by Creationists.
As those behind the Creationist movement would have it here, Hitler’s Nazi Party constitutional platform asserted Christianity; Hitler even his Christianity as the Creationists do, and attempted to establish a United Reich German Church of Christ.
While attacks on Aryan houses of worship were allowed, Christian churches were protected; and Nazis were encouraged to attend them for worship.
As most Right-wing Americans seeking the support of the Creationist and Evangelical forces do, Hitler spoke of his Christian beliefs in his speeches and proclamations.
Since the Catholic Church never excommunicated him, Hitler died a “good Christian,” while the Aryans he sought to destroy have retained their place in the world. Thus Hitler proved correct, the “Aryan race” is clearly superior to whatever race, or doctrine, Hitler belonged to.
